Our celebration cheese cakes are special order items and as such we require at least two weeks notice to ensure we can get the stock required. Should you have left it a little late please do still get in touch via email and we'll see what we can do in your timeframe.
At George and Joseph we have many years experience assisting our customers with their cheese cakes/towers for weddings and other celebrations. We can offer a bespoke service tailored to your individual wants but we now also offer an "off-the-shelf" service for those wanting to just click and buy.
There are three options for delivery - collect for free from our Chapel Allerton shop in North Leeds; UK-wide courier delivery; and we also offer a Yorkshire-wide delivery and set-up service which is available upon request at a cost dependent on location - please email us for more details and a copy of our Celebration Cakes Brochure.
As well as our larger cakes we also offer a selection of mini Celebration Cakes which look great as the centrepiece on any party table; cheese party packs which are whole pieces of cheese for those looking for a party cheeseboard; and party platters which are pre-portioned cheeses alongside chutney, crackers and fruit fully presented so you don't have to do a thing.
We can also provide additional layers made up on locally made Pork Pies or Brandy-infused Fruit Cake - more information on these and prices is included in our brochure.
Here are some pointers on choosing cheese for your party:
- firstly have a rough budget and headcount decided
- as a very rough starting point we say budget around £2.80 per head
- we recommend c100g cheese per person - however this can be reduced if it's a very small nibble you're providing and it would need to be increased if it is the main evening meal you are serving to your guests
- those who would just like pieces of cheese for a cheeseboard should go for one of our party packs and those who would like a tower of cheese would need to choose one of our Celebration Cakes
- we require a minimum four weeks notice before your event, however if you've left it later than this do still get in contact we can sometimes work a miracle of two
- if you would like to order a cake from our website but it's not big enough we can add on additional weight of any of the cheeses which can be then be brought out alongside the cake at the time of serving - just email us with your additional requirements
- softer cheeses such as Brie can go on the bottom with the use of supports which we can provide at no extra cost
- you can also add on chutney, crackers, fresh fruit, decoration and fruit cake or pork pie layers

- we can send any of our celebration cakes and accompaniments UK-wide via courier but this would not include any decoration or set-up service
- we can provide a hand delivery and set-up service throughout Yorkshire and this is priced according to mileage - please email us for a quote
- for any bespoke orders we can offer a personal consultation in our Chapel Allerton shop charged at £20 for maximum 2 people, if you wish to bring anyone else along they will be charged at an additional £10 per head
- please ensure the cheese is taken out of any fridge to allow it to reach room temperature, however it is our advice it should not be out for anymore than four hours
- caterers should dismantle any tower before serving
- with any courier deliveries we recommend delivery 2 - 3 days before the event - should there be any issues it then gives us time to rectify them but it also means your cheese is in the best condition for serving
