Dale End Cheddar is a traditional clothbound cheddar, handmade by the dedicated team at Botton Creamery in the heart of the North York Moors. This unique cheese is crafted from the rich, organic milk of a small herd of Dairy Shorthorn and Ayrshire cows, nurtured in the biodynamic Botton Village, part of the Camphill Village Trust.
Now led by Ruth Wells, the creamery continues its mission of producing high-quality, raw-milk cheeses, while providing meaningful work for adults with learning disabilities. Ruth, who grew up on a dairy farm in East Yorkshire, brings her passion and expertise to Botton, where she and her team produce this award-winning cheddar.
Dale End Cheddar has a deep, tangy flavour with a long, satisfying finish, perfectly capturing the essence of the North York Moors. Aged on wooden shelves and turned by hand, this farmhouse cheddar showcases the finest traditions of British cheesemaking.
