Britain's oldest recorded cheese, dating back to the Doomsday Book of 1086. Appleby's Dairy is run by husband and wife team, Sarah and Paul Appleby. In their own words "a small traditional farmhouse dairy, making delicious, thought-provoking cheeses, from a herd of grazing animals".
The fresh, raw milk, comes from their own grass-fed herd, whom graze on the salt-plains of the Cheshire Basin. Crumbly, clean, slightly buttery, and naturally salty, a British Classic.
